but if anyone should put it in all their cars, it would be Nissan.

OMG Nissan makes the worst keys ever, made of a soft metal that will break in the ignition when you go to start it! The rest of your keychain, including the head of the Nissan's key, will pull away in your hand.

Or maybe the breakaway key was a safety feature that GM didn't think of? :p

I just don't get the same satisfaction from pressing a button as I do turning a key.

I hate start buttons. End of story. I also hate electric windows though so most people would probably call me backwards. Power locks I'm ok with though.

What if it's a cool button like the one in the Lamborghini Aventador that looks like it launches a missile? Or what if there were a couple overhead switches to flip before you can start the car? Imagine getting in a new Versa and turning on the fuel pump and oil pump before firing it up.

Probably because the power locks can be operated manually and the windows can't

Excellent logic, yes that's it.

I actually think that would be cool. I now want a manual fuel pump switch for my Cavalier. I don't want an oil pump switch...because that's a dangerous thing to forget. If you try to turn it on without fuel it will just sputter and die. If you turn it on without it's oil pump...it will sputter and then die forever.

Power locks are useful. I only want a power window for the passenger side rear window cause I can't reach that one while driving.

You can lock out the starter unless the oil pump is on. So you can't start the engine without it.

A lot of people do something similar, you can hide a safety switch in your car so it won't start unless you turn it on.

Well, I have a manual transmission with a kill switch in the clutch so I'm safe anyways.

I believe that electric windows are or can be lighter than manual ones, so I'm not sure why you'd prefer the manual windows.

because they are much less liable to break.
